City striker Craig Bellamy has emerged as a target for new Sunderland boss Steve Bruce.
The Welsh striker, signed from West Ham during the January transfer window, may find himself surplus to requirements following the arrival of Roque Santa Cruz and carlos Tevez, not forgetting the expected arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor from Arsenal.
Bellamy has been out of the team following an injury during the game last season against the Hammers and has also been touted to return to London with Spurs. However Black Cats boss Bruce may see Bellamy as the perfect striker as he looks to build his team for the new season.
