Gareth Barry has become Manchester City's first major signing of the transfer window after agreeing to join Mark Hughes' blue revolution.
England man Barry, 28 has signed a four year contract after Villa agreed a £12m fee. His signing is a huge boost to City's midfield and a clear signal of intent that City are not happy with just playing a bit part in the Premier League.
Barry was coveted by Liverpool in the last close season but the reds failed to agree a fee with the Midlands outfit.
