Manchester City's new £12m recruit Gareth Barry scored England first goal in the
4-0 rout of Kazakhstan.
Barry celebrated his recent move from Aston Villa by heading home Steven Gerrard's cross after 40 minutes. England had survived a scare with the home side having a goal ruled out for offside before Bary settled the nerves. Emile Heskey converted in first half injury time before Wayne Rooney and a Frank Lampard penalty sealed the win.
England now remain firmly on target for a place in next years World Cup with six straight wins.
