Balotelli - 'I Miss City Fans ... But Nothing Else!'

The striker returned to Italy in January 2013 for £19m after a series of disciplinary issues and is rediscovering his form at San Siro.

Mario Balotelli: “I miss the fans.

"I’ll tell you what I don’t miss, though. I don’t miss the food, or the weather, or the stupid way you’re always expected to drive over there… But yeah, the City fans, I miss them.

"Even though the Milan fans are just as good.

“I have to say, most of my memories of Manchester are really happy ones. I enjoyed myself there.

“It wasn’t that much of a culture shock for me to go to England. There’s not a great deal of difference between the two clubs.”

On Wednesday Balotelli hit the headlines in Italy after tweeting the result of DNA tests proving Pia – the baby had by his former girlfriend Raffaella Fico – was indeed his daughter.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has declared that his squad can win the Champions League this season.

The Citizens, who have not previously qualified from the group stages before this year, face Spanish side Barcelona in the last 16 of the tournament, with the first leg at the Etihad Stadium on the 18th February.

Manuel Pellegrini: "I think we can win it this season. We're fighting against the best squads in Europe, but we've got just the same chance to win it as the other teams, at the least."

The Chilean previously took Villarreal to the last four of the competition in 2006 and Malaga into the quarter-finals last season.
