After seemingly failing to land John Terry from Chelsea, Sky Sports believe City have sent a delegation to Germany to tie up a deal for Brazilian central defender Lucio.
Bayern Munich boss Louis Van Gaal has already stated that he doesn't want to lose Lucio, but the Brazilian is rumoured to be looking to leave the Allianz Arena as he is not being guaranteed first team action.
The news comes after Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out selling John Terry to the blues although it has been rumoured that the Londoners are willing to sell if City bid around £40m for the 29 year old.
A deal for the defender is almost certain to see Richard Dunne end his City career, with Sunderland and now Wolves in the frame for his signature.
