Owen Hargreaves: “He’s a lovely guy, he’s an exceptional football player and he’s one of the best strikers in the world in my opinion.
“I thought in his first season he was exceptional. He’s so low to the ground, like [Lionel] Messi, when he moves it’s very difficult for anyone to keep up with him.
“But I don’t think he’s reached the levels of his first season. I think they have too many front players.
“I think they did before, with (Mario) Balotelli and (Carlos) Tevez. There’s too much rotation and, again, we see it today with Negredo and Aguero.
“I think you need to stick with one or two. You keep one, and rotate the other one. He’s that good, he should be the focal point of that team and I don’t think he’s had the chance to consistently play like he did last season.”
