Emmanuel Adebayor has asked for more time to consider his multi million pound move to City.
Rumours are that he is under pressure to remain at Arsenal as his homeland see the Londoners as superior to City and do not approve of him moving to an inferior club. Other rumours speculate that the striker is holding out for a last minute approach from AC Milan, Adebayor's preferred choice of destination.
Elsewhere, City are reported to have made a move for Tottenham winger David Bentley who is valued at around £12m while Chelsea have reiterated their stance on John Terry claiming the England captain is not for sale at any price.
And finally, we all know how well footballers are paid but City stars are now being treated like royalty. A report in the Sun this morning have seen the blues check in to a five star luxury hotel in Dubai and treated to a lavish banquet by the club's owners before each being presented with watch worth £168,000. However, this story proved to be false and the club are taking legal advice.
